Pediatrician Employment Opportunity

Hughes Medical Centre in Anguilla is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatrician to join our team.

As a Pediatrician at Hughes Medical, you will play a crucial role in improving the health and well-being of our youngest patients, from birth to adolescence.

Duties and responsibilities:
❖ Evaluate, diagnose and treat various health conditions in children in an out-patient setting.
❖ Use checks and screenings to monitor patient’s growth and health
❖ Give immunization and boosters for diseases
❖ Prescribe appropriate medication while taking into consideration the child’s health issue, health condition or response to treatment
❖ Order the necessary tests depending on the patient’s symptoms
❖ Interpret laboratory results indicating their patient’s health condition or response to treatment
❖ Advise patients and their parents on how to maintain healthy habits
❖ Record and update patients’ medical histories
❖ Refer patients to other healthcare specialists when faced with a highly complex health issue
❖ Be fully aware of the legal requirement and guidelines regarding interactions with minors

Requirements for the Ideal candidate includes:
❖ Board-certified in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine-Pediatrics
❖ Medical license to practice in Anguilla (obtained through application process)
❖ Demonstrated excellence in Pediatric Care through professional experience and/or references.
❖ Effective communication skills
❖ Empathetic and compassionate
