Internist Employment Opportunity

Hughes Medical Centre in Anguilla is seeking to employ an Internal Medicine Physician to join our team. As an Internist at Hughes Medical, you will play a crucial role in improving the health and well-being of our patients with complex and multiple chronic health issues. Expertise in managing Diabetes and Cardiometabolic conditions is an asset.

Duties and responsibilities:
❖ Performing annual and regular examinations on patients to check for illnesses
❖ Prescribing appropriate medication while taking into consideration the patient’s health issue, health condition or response to treatment
❖ Ordering the necessary tests depending on the patient’s symptoms
❖ Interpreting laboratory results indicating their patient’s health condition or response to treatment
❖ Managing patient’s medical condition(s)
❖ Referring patients to other healthcare specialists when faced with a highly complex health issue

Requirements for the Ideal candidate includes:
• Doctor of medicine (MD), Board certified in Internal Medicine
• License to practice medicine in Anguilla (obtained during application process)
• Demonstrated excellence in Internal Medicine through professional experience and/or references.
• Effective communication skills
• Empathetic and compassionate
