Shellisa Galloway, a medical doctor and alumnus of The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica works as a clinical instructor within the Department of Clinical Skills at the St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada.
My research team is part of the Global Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS) Initiative Research Mentorship Program (https://www.globalohns.org/mentorship-program).
This program comprises both medical students and healthcare practitioners across the world, dedicated to advancing the understanding of healthcare access and equity in the field of Otolaryngology through research.
As part of our mandate, my team and I are conducting an ecological study to evaluate access to otolaryngologic care across different Caribbean nations. We aim to gather data on the availability of OHNS (ENT) providers and subspecialty hospital services in these countries.
